Services for Families of young children

The Office of Head Start (OHS) works to prepare young children from local low-income families to succeed in both school and life. The Head Start and Early Head Start Programs promote a child’s development through comprehensive early learning, health, and family well-being services. All services provided are free of cost.

Programs: Mobile, Baldwin, Clarke and Escambia Counties

Ages: Children age birth to five

 

Services for Early Childhood Educators

The training and technical assistance programs offered at Gulf Regional Early Childhood Services are the primary resource in our area for community-based early childhood education training. We provide the essential information that professionals need to improve their skills.  Our educational programs meet the highest standards for continuing education and training, earning our agency the distinction of being awarded Authorized Provider status by the International Association of Continuing Education and Training, the accrediting organization for Continuing Education Training credit (CEU).

Mission & Vision

Gulf Regional Early Childhood Services, Inc. seeks to brighten the future for children through early learning opportunities. To achieve its mission, the organization will implement professional development programs for teachers and child care providers; engage in activities that enrich the lives of children; maintain and disseminate information that elevates early learning as a community resource; and develop partnerships with families, organizations, business and government to increase the availability of high quality early learning child care programs.
